His research focuses on electron and phonon transport physics, the development of first-principle computational tools, high-performance materials for thermal applications, as well as innovations in sustainable energy technologies, including thermal management, solar energy harvesting, and thermoelectric energy conversion.

His research interests include natural language processing and machine learning. His long-term research goal is to build machines that can reason like human and collaborate with human.
