The 2026 CESASC Scholarship is now open for application! CESASC is one of the largest and most established Chinese-American professional organizations in Southern California. Founded in 1962, CESASC has been dedicated to promoting the interests, aspirations, and professional excellence of Chinese-American engineers and scientists, providing career and educational advancement opportunities, technical exchange, fellowship, and community service.
In particular, CESASC offers annual scholarships to encourage young students to develop their interests and pursue careers in the fields of science, engineering, and technology. In the past ten years, CESASC has given away more than $400,000 in scholarships to more than four hundred excellent students. Many awardees have made great achievements and become leaders in their field.
This year, CESASC will continue its tradition and offer 10 general scholarships and 3 Lisa Lu Foundation (盧燕基金會) scholarships for awardees majoring in literature and arts. All scholarship recipients are invited to the CESASC Annual Convention to network with professionals in the field, present their research at the Interdisciplinary Talk, and receive their awards at the Convention Gala.
What are the history and purpose of the CESASC Scholarship?+
CESASC, founded in 1962, is a leading Chinese-American professional organization. Over the years CESASC has provided annual scholarships for qualified undergraduate and graduate students on the merit and financial need basis. The funding comes from corporate and individual donors and is managed by the CESASC Scholarship Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
Who can apply for the CESASC Scholarship?+
Sophomores and above or graduate students in a university or college are eligible. Students from non-Chinese descent and applicants from non-science/engineering majors are also welcomed. Previous CESASC Scholarship awardees are not eligible to reapply.
How do I apply?+
Submit the application online at forms.gle/Z2QrvvyrYDUAA7sA8. You will need a resume, optional academic transcripts, and one letter of recommendation from a professor in your field of study (PDF format).
How are awardees notified?+
The scholarship awardees will be notified by email before the announcement date. Students who do not win the scholarship will also receive notification emails.
Are awardees required to attend the convention?+
Yes. An interdisciplinary talk is held in which each awardee presents their research work. Award certificates and checks are distributed at the convention gala — awardees must attend the convention to receive their awards.
